I have been planning on building a goal post for Guild Ball for some time. With an upcoming event running at a local gaming club soon, I felt I should pull my finger out and get a goal built. The main sticking point I have had in the past in building a goal is actually deciding what it should look like. Do I theme it to a specific team? Do I theme it with my Guild Ball pitch and terrain? Should it track the score, and if so victory points or goals? And many other questions I never finalised an answer to… until now!

Its that time of year where we set silly goals and objectives for ourselves over the coming year. Most people chose to lose weight or get fitter. I lost 18kg last year and started running – promptly put 3kg back on over the Christmas & New Year period mind you (neither were actually New Year resolutions). But these are the resolutions of ordinary mortals. We (assuming you’re reading this blog because you have an interest in wargaming) of course have much more far fetched and unobtainable objectives to set – like completely painting an army, or painting all our unpainted models, etc etc. So what am I planning to fail to achieve this year?

The Steamroller rules pack has a number of scenarios that require players to fight to control certain points on the table. These points are represented in game by zones, flags, and objective markers.
