Imperial Nobility Linemen

About 4 years ago I wrote a blog post about assembling my Imperial Nobility Bloodbowl team (link). Now I have been playing in a Bloodbowl league for a little while now (The Chorbowl League), and while I will be the first to admit that I do not get on with this game, I do enjoy taking part in the league – that’s a real laugh. While it feels great to win and crap to lose, its teh taking part and playing games that I’m interesting in these days. Lovely, but why am I writing a blog post about these ‘Imp Nob’ guys then?

Well they are the team I am currently using in the league, and I am getting a bit of a reputation for not getting even a Bloodbowl team painted. So far I have failed to paint a Vampire team and a Black Orc team and I am half way through this season and still not finished painting the Nobs.

I did have to make some extra linemen and sort out an Ogre before my first match though. That’s what this post is about.

Brutefun’s Lizard Team for Bloodbowl

During last year’s Black Friday sales I treated myself to an upgrade of my 3D printer. I bought myself an Elegoo Saturn 2 printer. It arrived just before Christmas, but I didn’t get chance to set it up to the new year. The first thing I printed was the Brutefun Fantasy Football Lizardmen Team as a proxy for the Bloodbowl Lizardmen team. The Saturn 2’s build plate is huge in comparison to my old Mars 2 Pro’s build plate. In fact a whole team’s worth of models easily fit onto a single plate. There were of course a few teething troubles and a couple of failures. However the full team was printed, and the models are fantastic. Sadly those models have sat around languishing unpainted in the house since then. If you’ve been here before you’ll know that this is a fairly common state of affairs with my models.

One of the first printed models, a Brutefun Chameleon:

July Update

…and June’s…

…and May’s.

Crikey, I’ve been a bit lax recently on the blog. Life has simply got in the way a bit. I’m still working from home – unbelievably it might be May 2022 before I’m back in the office – and my hobby area has been overtaken by my office. After sitting at ‘work’ all day the last thing I feel like doing is sitting in the same place to do some ‘hobby’. That’s not to say I don’t want to do any hobbying, its just that I can’t face sitting in same place any longer. Working from home has its advantages, but i’m now sick of it. The other thing is that I’m a dad again, we recently adopted a 1 year old daughter, this certainly makes life busy lol.

So what hobby have i done recently?

Rogue Games Blood Bowl League Reports – Catching Up

The Reikland Rogues start their run on the R.G.L. cup a little late, but are making up the time none the less. Some catch up games played recently in the league before moving on to league week three.

Blood Bowl Painting Chaos

In an earlier post I showed off my assembled Willy Miniatures’ Chaos Chosen team. Figured I’d post an update on how the painting is going.

First up the team were given series of black, grey and white rattle can sprays. This was intended to be a zenithal undercoat although rattlecans aren’t necessarily the most accurate/reliable tool for this process.
