Warcry: Gnarlwood Terrain #5

I broke out the trusty airbrush again. To try and quickly tackle the parts of the terrain I could not target with the rattlecans by themselves. In other words the bamboo platforms and the old bones.

The images below are taken on a bright sunny day, so the bone greys have all turned an almost uniform colour. It isn’t really like this in person. You can see in the first pic, I have left the first experimental tree as is. Once everything is painted I might go back and bring the bone back to match the rest of the set. The tree and bamboo isn’t too dissimilar – all trees are different right?

Warcry: Gnarlwood Terrain #4

Hasn’t been a lot of activity on the blog this year. Some hobby has been occurring (very slowly) but I haven’t had the motivation to post about it… till now!

You may remember at the beginning of the year I had a spurt of Warcry terrain building. Assembling the terrain that came in the Warcry: Heart of Ghur boxed game. I even started painting it, but admittedly I screwed up slightly* and that knocked the motivation out of me to complete it in a timely fashion.

A keen eyed reader may have noticed that the title of this post has subtly changed from those previous posts. That is because I also bought the follow on boxes to Heart of Ghur; Sundered Fate, Bloodhunt, and Nightmare Quest. Yes, I fully admit the GW FOMO plan worked a treat on me there. The good intension was to build and paint a box before getting the next box. That failed way back at the start of the year, and since May/June I’ve had a forest of sprues sat in boxes. Well, until recently that is…
