I have had the majority of parts for these conversions knocking around for a while. I have just not bothered to do anything with them. However I feel I should do at least two things with those parts:
- Write a blog post as its been way too long since anything of real substance was posted on this blog 😉
- Convert them before Corvus Belli actually get round to releasing their official sculpts. Continue reading
Played Infinity for the first time in over a month last night. I really enjoyed the game against my mate Steve. I thought I would write up a short report of the game. However I ended up writing this. No pictures though.
I thought I would write-up a little post about some terrain i did quickly for the tournament I went to back around Halloween. It was bought on a whim really, as i currently don’t have any gaming space at home…yet. The TO for the Halloween event asked if any of us had Objective Room scenery that we could bring. So I volunteered to get this built for the event rather than build and paint my own lists 😉 As I was pressed for time, I thought I would try to get it built and painted to an OK standard as fast as I could.
“OK, say hello to my little friend!” *
This post is about painting my Mayacast Masterglass Q4 Tagline entry: Scarface
I also used the TAG as my entry into the best painted miniature category at the NO 7 event back in November.
Today’s blog post is less about painting progress and more about painting anticipation. I’m excited because I pre-ordered myself a copy of “Painting Miniatures from A to Z, Masterclass Volume 2” by Ángel Giráldez today.
When I first started dabbling with Infinity at the start of 2015 I pre-ordered Volume 1. If you look at my other painted models on this blog I think you’ll see that pre-infinity I had a fairly dark painting style, especially in my choice of colours. Infinity with its bright clean look seemed rather daunting. So when I realised there was a painting guide being produced by Corvus Belli’s in house painter, I figured a look behind the scenes would be an excellent idea. Continue reading
A couple of months ago the guys on Mayacast Podcast went through the link teams available for each Sectorial army. With the release of Human Sphere N3 there has been some changes to the link teams available as well as new links within Sectorials and a new Sectorial army too…Onyx Cotact Force. Tom and Kip of Mayacast have updated their information of each Sectorial. As i had a previous post listing the time stamps for the old shows, I thought I would post up the new time stamps.
Infinity uses templates to determine various effects on models or defining particular areas of the table. Just like many table top wargames. There are a number of manufacturers out there that produce templates for Infinity, both official partners to Corvus Belli and not those not endorsed by CB. Here is a few retailers, in no particular order:
Corvus Belli themselves supplies templates to print free. You can print out templates and markers from the Downloads section of the Infinity website. Also if you bought one of the large starter sets such as Operation Icestorm you’ll have some card stock templates. While the US Ariadna Army Pack came with a card circular template and both sizes of teardrop templates. Card is perfectly fine, but it’s more useful to have a more durable set of templates. So I thought I would design my own set of templates and get them laser cut by Cog ‘O’ Two.
